Adapted from Mark Twain's classic tale of
mistaken identity and released in 1990, The Prince and the Pauper
is an animated featurette in which Mickey plays both of the leading
roles. When Prince Mickey changes places with his peasant twin, the evil
Captain of the Guards plots to take over. With the help of his friends,
Mickey manages to save the day.
Arguably
the most famous of the Disney cartoon characters, Mickey Mouse is the
personification of everything Disney and has become one of the most
universal symbols of the Twentieth Century. Making his debut in 1928 ,
Mickey Mouse's rich history includes roles in more than 120 different
cartoons and feature films, as well as "The Mickey Mouse Club"
